Distance education has been getting a lot of attention lately,
but it isn't new. Correspondence courses have been around for
over a century, allowing students to complete assignments and
mail them to an instructor for feedback. Advances in technology
have presented more opportunities in distance education. Classes
can be taken through telecourses and the internet.
Family and job related responsibilities make it difficult for
many people to attend traditional college classes. Distance
education ...

As a mindfulness trainer, I'm a big fan of promoting greater
mindfulness in the classroom. However, it's interesting to me
that those who seem to be the most thoughtful and passionate
proponents of mindfulness in education are the ones most likely
to be trapped by their limited thinking.
Now, don't get me wrong.
I praise those who introduce silence, stillness and
contemplation among students. I applaud those who explain the
concept of mindfulness and invite their charges to explore the
wonder ...

Online degree education is the act of getting a bachelor's or
master's degree online. It's a growing field that is receiving
acceptance and approval for all types of career and education
goals. The biggest advantage to online degree education is that
it is a complete college degree program that is delivered via
the Internet. All classes, materials, tests and lectures are
delivered online. This process allows the student to "attend"
class from anywhere at any time that is convenient to ...

The introduction of the Government's Education Maintenance
Allowance (EMA) in September 2004 meant that more young people
from poorer backgrounds could afford to stay on in further
education instead of being forced to find work.
But the scheme brought with it an extra administrative burden
for further education (FE) colleges. They now have to manage
enrolment in the scheme, monitor attendance and notify the
Assessment and Payment Body of their decisions to pay EMA
students, or not pay, where ...

Education can have many different impacts on your career
Your education can have far reaching impacts on your career. For
example, educations can influence your career in the following
ways:
' Educations dictate what career fields you can enter. You can't
become a doctor unless you are educated in the medical field,
for example. How do people become pilots? They get flight school
educations. ' How educated you are determines how far you will
advance in your field. People with higher educations ...

On many a Friday night my daughter and I can be found in front
of the computer playing an online game based upon 'Who Wants to
Be a Millionaire'. The differences are that all the questions
are related to science, we can't actually win a million dollars,
it's absolutely free, and we are the players. It isn't unusual
for us to spend a couple of hours playing this game. I am always
amazed by how much she knows as her age as well as how much I
seem to have forgotten at mine.
Many years ago while ...

IMPORTANCE OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION.
Education is important for every individual in a nation. It
plays a vital role to change the stare of a country. No country
could bring a revolution in it unless its people are educated
enough to meet the challenges. Education makes a man realize

The L.E.A.D.E.R. Way
INTRODUCTION
In June 1997,the Prime Minister of Singapore unveiled the

resources, can only continue to progress by nurturing a
knowledgeable workforce that is adaptable to the changes in the
world economy. More importantly, the ...

Protect Your Children Education At No Cost To You
When it comes to laying the foundation for a child' success,
there is no substitute for education. For this reason, one major
financial services organization has undertaken to make sure that
children who are touched by family tragedy (namely, the death of
a parent) do not face a second loss, that of an opportunity to
continue their education.
The LifeBridgeƤ Free Life Insurance Program, announced by
MassMutual Financial Group, will provide up ...

Despite serious reductions in funding for arts programs in
public schools, there is a great need for studying music. Band,
orchestra, and choir all offer students a chance to work
together in a social and intellectual group setting and excel at
complex tasks.
The trick for parents is to enroll their children in high
quality programs and assist them in purchasing high quality
instruments. There are indeed many benefits to be realized from
a musical education and a quick reference guide is listed ...

If you are thinking about what you are going to say while the
other person is talking, you are not listening....if you don't
listen, you don't learn.....If you listen with concentration,
then all the brain's parts can contribute to something much
better to say, even something profound! Real wisdom is found on
the bottom of the pool of humility, and that is the education
King Solomon treasured the most. ["If you are looking down on
others, you will never see what is above you", as C.S. ...

What is all the hoopla about children needing to be exposed to
computers and the Internet? Let me share my experience.
My child isn't a genius. Most aptitude testing has revealed
that she is of average intelligence. But somehow this child has
managed to consistently score above the 90th percentile
nationally on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills'98th and 99th
percentile in math. And, on Georgia's sixth grade Criterion
Referenced Comprehension Test (CRCT) scored 450 out of 450 on
the reading ...

Ask yourself this question: 'Do I like what I do for a living?'
If you answered 'no', what are you doing about it? Maybe you
have a 'good' job, but it's not very rewarding to you
personally. Maybe you have job with good pay, but bad hours or
worse ' a job with good hours, but bad pay. Perhaps you've just
done your job for too many years, or are excited to work in some
of the new careers that just weren't available when you finished
school.
Whatever the reason is for you wanting to switch ...
